As well as looking to minimize the effects of the Magnitsky Bill which allows the US to freeze assets held in America, Putin is also likely looking to minimize the effects on Russia as international relationships continue to deteriorate. <br />According to the US,<a href="http://www.vivid-host.com/barbour.htm" target="_blank" class="postlink">www.vivid-host.com/barbour.htm</a>, the Magnitsky affair is representative of the growing human rights abuses in Russia and has prompted a number of accusations and concerns being raised by politicians and human rights groups. <br />The Hydraulic Fracturing boom or fracking as it is more commonly known,<a href="http://www.uawlocal1999.org/abercrombieuk.asp" target="_blank" class="postlink">www.uawlocal1999.org/abercrombieuk.asp</a>, in the US has also contributed to this change in the geopolitical landscape. Once the biggest importer of natural gas, the US is now not only self-sufficient but it is also starting to export as well. As the world's largest exporter,<a href="http://www.vivid-host.com/barbour.htm" target="_blank" class="postlink">barbour outlet</a>, this change has impacted Russia and the energy market as a whole. Relations between Ukraine and Russia are also growing tenser as Russia responds to Ukraine's attempts to diversify its own energy supplies away from Russia.
